Odin by TKtech: privacy policy
The browser extension our client practices’ providers and staff use beside the visit note. What it reads, where it goes, and what it keeps.
Last updated October 25, 2026
Odin by TKtech is a browser extension for the providers and staff of the medical practices TKTech LLC (“TK Tech”, “we”, “us”) works with. It works beside the visit note in the practice’s electronic health record (Tebra) and with the practice’s own Odin system, which TK Tech runs for the practice. It does nothing for anyone without an Odin account at one of those practices. Questions go to hello@tktech.health.
The short version
- It reads the visit note open in Tebra, in the user’s own Tebra session.
- What it sends goes only to the practice’s own Odin, never to anyone else.
- No advertising, no analytics companies, and nothing is sold, rented or shared for anyone’s marketing.
- Visit recordings are made only with the patient’s consent, are not part of the medical record, and are deleted once the note is signed (within 14 days at most).
- Patient information is handled under HIPAA and our agreements with each practice.
What it reads
The visit note. The extension reads the note open in Tebra so it can show what the note still needs before it is signed, and put in the lines the provider chooses. Most of this happens inside the browser.
The patient’s chart in Odin. The panel shows what the practice’s Odin already holds for that patient: measures to address, diagnoses to confirm, labs and results to review, and messages from the practice’s staff.
What it sends, and where
Everything goes to the practice’s own Odin (odin.tktech.health), and nowhere else:
- The Assessment and Plan, as the note is saved, so the front desk has the plan at checkout.
- The whole note, only when the provider uses the visit check, which compares a recorded visit with the note.
- What the provider records in the panel, such as an injection’s drug and lot for the claim, a result reviewed, or a diagnosis confirmed.
- How the panel is used: which suggestions are shown, used or dismissed, how a line the panel put in was kept or edited, and when a note is opened and closed. The practice uses this to improve the panel. It is never used for advertising.
- Feedback the user chooses to send: what they type or say, and a picture of the screen. It goes into the practice’s Odin and TK Tech’s help desk so it can be acted on.
Visit recordings
Recording is off unless the provider starts it. It starts only after the provider confirms the patient agreed, either for that visit or as a standing consent the practice has on file. A patient who signs the practice’s form declining recording is never recorded.
The audio is kept in the practice’s Odin. It is transcribed, and compared with the note, by TK Tech’s own equipment, over TK Tech’s private network. It is used only to help the provider finish the note.
Recordings and their transcripts are not part of the medical record: the signed note is. They are deleted automatically an hour after the note is signed, and after 14 days at most in any case.
What it keeps on the computer
The extension keeps a few settings in the browser: the Odin address, the clinic hours for recording, and the user’s usual answers, such as a usual drug or dose. It also keeps short-lived notes about the note in front of it, such as which suggestions were dismissed. None of it leaves the browser except as described above.
Who can see the information
Only the practice’s own staff, through Odin and Tebra, and TK Tech as the practice’s business associate, to run and support the system. We don’t sell or share it with anyone else, and we don’t use it for anything but the purpose above.
Changes
If we change what the extension reads, sends or keeps, we update this page and the date at the top.
