FAQ

Billing

What does TK Tech actually do?
We run billing and coding for independent medical practices: coding each visit, claims, denials, payment posting and patient balances. We also build and run the front desk software our practices use, Odin and Huginn, and offer IT support.
Do you replace my biller?
Only if you want us to. With full billing we take on all of it. With billing support your biller stays and we back them up with coding review, denial work and reporting.
Does AI code my visits?
Our pipeline drafts the codes from the visit note and checks them against NCCI, MUE and ICD-10 rules, and adds G2211 only where the rules allow. A person reviews every encounter before it is approved in your EHR. The software never submits a claim on its own.
Which EHR or practice management systems do you work with?
We work inside the EHR you already use. Tebra is supported today, and athenaOne and OpenEMR are in progress. If you’re on something else, talk to us before assuming it won’t work.

Pricing

How is full billing priced?
A flat monthly fee set by your encounter volume, using a three-month rolling average. It starts at $3,700 a month for up to 260 encounters and covers billing, coding, eligibility and the front desk’s systems. There are no per-provider fees. Every band is on the pricing page.
Can I pay a percentage of collections instead?
Yes. Full billing is 8.0% of collections, for the same service as the encounter bands. Some practices prefer that, at least to start. What moves the price is your specialty, not how many providers you have.
Are there long-term contracts?
No. Everything is month-to-month.
What happens to my data if I leave?
It’s yours. We hand it back in open formats as part of the transition.

Odin and Huginn

What's the difference between Odin and Huginn?
Odin is the front desk’s work list and visit paperwork: tasks, discharge countdowns, care gaps, MIPS items, prep sheets and checkout. Huginn is communication: who’s calling, the call card, missed calls and texts.
Does Odin book appointments?
Odin suggests open times from your schedule rules and can cancel a visit in your EHR; the booking itself is made in the EHR.
Is Huginn available now?
Huginn is in daily use at the practices we run. Ask us what it takes to connect your phone system.

Security and support

Will you sign a BAA?
Yes. We sign a Business Associate Agreement before we touch patient data.
How does support work?
Remotely, during business hours, through our support portal, email or phone. Quick fixes happen on the call; bigger remote work is booked ahead. We don’t promise round-the-clock coverage or on-site visits.
Where are you based?
Brevard County, Florida. We know the local payers: Florida Blue, Florida Medicaid plans and Health First.

Want us to look at your billing?

Send us a note or call. We will ask about your volume, your payers and what your front desk fights with, then tell you plainly whether we can help.
