IT support, from the people already in your systems.

We look after the network, workstations, phones and website for practices we work with, remotely. It’s a second line of business for us, not the headline, and it’s month-to-month like everything else.

IT support

What we look after

  • Network

Firewall, Wi-Fi and remote access for staff who need it.

  • Workstations

Setup, updates and fixes. We often switch older machines to a lighter system that looks and works like Windows, rather than replace them.

  • Windows and Mac

We look after Windows PCs and Macs too, where a practice needs them. We’ll be honest that our standard system is easier and cheaper to run, and tell you when a machine could move.

  • Your website

Hosting, updates and small changes to the practice website: hours, providers, forms. We already host the sites for the practices we work with.

  • Phones

An open-source phone system we host and manage, which is also what Huginn runs on.

  • Help desk

Tickets through our support portal, and remote sessions on the workstation so most things are fixed while you’re still on the phone.

  • Single sign-on

Staff sign in once to our tools, with accounts that are removed in one place when someone leaves.

One call for all of it. Website care and Windows or Mac support come as part of an IT plan, not on their own.

Running at two practices today

  • The workstations

Eleven front-desk and clinical computers across two practices, on our standard system, set up and updated from one place on a weekly schedule.

  • One login

Staff sign in with the same account at any desk; when someone leaves, access is removed once, everywhere.

  • Problems seen early

Each computer reports its own errors to our monitoring, so a full disk, a printer fault or a memory problem is usually spotted before anyone calls.

  • Phones and help desk

The phone systems and the support portal both practices use every day.

What we don’t promise

Support is remote and runs in business hours. Quick fixes happen while you’re on the phone; bigger remote work, like a new workstation, a network change or a software rollout, is booked ahead at a time that suits the office, so nobody’s computer disappears mid-morning. We don’t sell on-site visits as part of a plan, and we don’t claim round-the-clock coverage. If something needs hands on hardware, we arrange it and configure it remotely once it’s in.
