Clinic Flow: where the hour actually went.
Room-by-room visit timing, measured with Bluetooth, for the people who set the schedule: owners, managers and physicians. Not another screen for your staff to babysit. Currently in pilot at practices we work with.
What it measures
Every visit, by stage
Time at the check-in desk, in the waiting room, in the exam room (including time alone), with the provider, with the MA and at checkout. Unaccounted time is shown as such, with a coverage figure, rather than guessed.
On time, and why not
On-time performance split into patient lateness and clinic delay, stage by stage, with medians and the slow tail.
What the schedule should be
How long each appointment type really takes and a suggested slot length, no-show and cancellation rates, room use and peak load, and how delay builds through the day.
Where everybody is
A live board of rooms and people, for the days you want to see the flow as it happens.
How it works
A small receiver per room
A small Bluetooth receiver in each room picks up phones nearby. Patients don’t install anything or carry a badge.
Staff and providers
Staff are placed by the workstation they’re signed in to; providers carry a small beacon tag.
Your EHR as the anchor
Appointment status from your EHR is treated as the truth for which room a patient is in, and Bluetooth fills in the minutes.
Operational, not clinical
The numbers are for running the practice. They are not part of the medical record, and no AI is involved.
Is the schedule the problem, or the flow?
Clinic Flow answers that with your own numbers. Tell us how your rooms are laid out and we'll tell you what it takes to measure them.
